On both sides of the old city – Haute (High) and Bass (below) – the winding cobbled streets are flanked by stone houses and churches in the eighteenth century and the eighteenth century, graceful parks and squares, and countless monuments. On the other hand, the Church can claim much of a reputation for creating and preserving the most exquisite buildings, the Eglise Notre Dame des Victoires charming at Notre Dame de Quebec Basilica and the vast Seminar.

By contrast, austere defensive structures, dominated by the massive citadel, according to a military source called town of Churchill as the “Gibraltar of North America”, while the battlefield on the Plains of Abraham is now a national historic park. The city’s multitude of museums, two must necessarily viewed – Museum of modern civilization, in Vieux-Quebec, presenting a professional French-Canadian all aspects of society, and the Museum of Quebec, in Haute-Ville, Vieux-Quebec to the west, which has the most exquisite collection of art in the province.
