It’s hard to pick but you could start by dreaming about Cuba, Fiji Islands, Hawaii, or Bora Bora. For something closer home, there’s always Spain, Turkey, or Greece.

Here are our favourite tips and tricks for planning the perfect beach getaway :-

If you’re going on a long haul flight, make sure you check yourself into a hotel near the airport. It’s easy to pick a hotel that suits your budget as everything from B&Bs to luxury hotels are on offer. We are partial towards the latter – after all, who doesn’t like to start their holiday in style!!

Consult a holiday checklist and make sure you’ve included everything you could possibly need for you holiday – everything from sunscreen and umbrellas to tote bags. If you’ve forgotten anything there’s always the duty free shops to kickstart your holiday – find the perfect makeup, the sunglasses you’ve been lusting after, and more – always so much more. There is never a dearth of lust-worthy items at Word Duty Free is there?

Once you’re have everything you want, it’s time to start charting an itinerary for your destination. Whether you’re going to Spain, the Caribbean, or just sticking around in UK (The Isle of Wight has some gorgeous beaches), make sure you have a rough itinerary in mind. You can relax and unwind at beaches, but checking out the culture of a new place and sampling local food is a must. Don’t forget to run a quick search of any historical destinations in the vicinity or better still, rent a car to find out hidden beaches, secret getaways, and offbeat restaurants for yourself.

Here are our top 4 beach destinations to visit this year :-

  • Fiji Islands

The lure of Fiji Islands never lessens, partly because of their location. They’re situated just off the coast of Australia and boast of perfect weather all year around. The easiest way to get there is to take a flight to Sydney, Australia and fly onwards to the Fiji Islands.

  • Bora Bora

It’s hard not to come across Bora Bora’s picture perfect villas suspended over azure waters on Pinterest or any other social media platform. Most people reserve this holiday for their honeymoon, but who is to say every holiday isn’t just as special?! Rekindle your romance by escaping the hustle-bustle of everyday life on this island paradise.

  • Phan Thiet, Vietnam

If you’re looking for a budget friendly alternative, then Vietnam is the place to be. Meals rarely cost more than £2-3 and it’s possible to bag a luxurious hotel room for less than £50. Add picture-perfect beaches, fabulous scenery, and friendly locals to that mix and it becomes hard to say no.

  • Malaga, Spain

If you’re seeking an escape that’s close to the UK, look no further than Malaga. While Malaga’s beaches continue to be populated by thousands of sun-seekers, you can find stunning secluded beaches just a few kilometres outside the city. Make sure you stay at a house/hotel in one of the small villages surrounding Malaga for a holiday to remember!
